Antique Pedestal Desk
An antique pedestal desk is a work area made of pedestal cabinets and a rectangular work surface, usually wooden, the desk surface rests on the two cabinets. The cabinets are used for storage and are small cupboards or a stack of drawers. Often to separate the desk user from the visitor there is a modesty panel so the legs of the desk user are not visible between the pedestal units. Sometimes the surface of the desk is inlaid with leather or a lacquer to provide a softer writing surface.

For more information about Tennessee look on the state website at www.state.tn.us. But just to keep you interested here are a few gems; the state flower is the Iris, the state tree is the Yellow-Poplar. The state bird is the pretty Mockingbird. I am sure most of the 5 million residents of Tennessee will tell you what a great place it is to live.
