Antique Pedestal Desk
An antique pedestal desk is a work area made of pedestal cabinets and a rectangular work surface, usually wooden, the desk surface rests on the two cabinets. The cabinets are used for storage and are small cupboards or a stack of drawers. Often to separate the desk user from the visitor there is a modesty panel so the legs of the desk user are not visible between the pedestal units. Sometimes the surface of the desk is inlaid with leather or a lacquer to provide a softer writing surface.

Most of the 4 million residents of Minnesota would be able to tell you right away that the state flower is the Pink and White Lady's-Slipper. For more information about Minnesota (also known as North Star State) look on the state website at www.state.mn.us. Have a look at the website to find out the name of the state bird; Common Loon, ok I guess there is no need to bother now!
